Orthopedic surgeries focus on correcting diseases and injuries to bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and other skeletal structures.
Our skilled team is able to perform many different orthopedic surgeries, with a special interest in cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) repairs by tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO). A CCL tear allows the tibia (shin bone) to slide forward in relation to the femur (thigh bone), which can cause pain and difficulty walking. The TPLO surgery corrects this by creating a curved cut into the top of the tibia and rotating this section to flatten the tibial plateau, creating dynamic stability.
