In 2007, Dr. James Baggs purchased West Villa Maria Veterinary Clinic and began building a practice known for high-quality medicine and compassionate care. After years of growth and a commitment to serving the Brazos Valley community, Dr. Baggs initiated plans for a major expansion.
In January 2021, the clinic was rebranded as the West Brazos Animal Center, marking the first step toward creating a state-of-the-art hospital. That vision will become a reality in November 2025, when West Brazos Animal Center opens its new 12,000-square-foot facility in west Bryan.
